Oase ScaperSoil Small in a 9-liter bag is a suitable base for planted aquascapes. This active substrate provides an attractive appearance and supports the growth and root development of aquarium plants. Its fine grain is ideal for use in smaller aquariums or for covering coarser soil layers, ensuring good anchorage for plant roots. ScaperSoil Small can soften the water and promote a slightly acidic pH range, which is beneficial for many aquarium plants. Active soil can absorb nutrients from the water and release them as needed. This buffering effect supports plant growth. The soil is suitable for various aquascape sizes and is ready to use; no rinsing is required. Its black color provides a striking contrast for plants and fish.

Feature Details

  • Active soil

The active soil influences the water values and adjusts their pH range in a way that is favourable to most aquarium plants. The values may vary depending on the fish species being kept

  • Nutrient storage

Active soil can both absorb and release nutrients from the water – the buffer effect is ideal for good plant growth

  • Natural-looking grain size

The grain size of our ScaperLine soil is ideal for small, medium-sized and also larger aquascapes and provides good support for the plant roots

  • Classic colours

The aquascaping soils of the OASE ScaperLine are available in the classic substrate colours of black and brown – and are also ideal for creating beautiful colour effects on the substrate

  • No need to wash out

You do not need to rinse out the active soil before using it in the scape, it is poured dry into the aquarium and modelled there without clouding the water
