The red/purple filter sponges for the BioTec ScreenMatic² 60000/140000/145000 flow-through filters are easy to use and clean. They are components of the fine filtration in the BioTec filter: Mechanical fine filtration and biological filtration under aerobic (oxygen-rich) conditions allow bacteria in the red zone to break down or oxidize substances to nitrate. Nitrate can be naturally absorbed and broken down by plants. Also compatible with the previous models BioTec ScreenMatic 18 and 36. Contents: 2 filter sponges
