Red Filter Foam for BioTec 12

The red/purple filter sponges for the BioTec ScreenMatic² 40000/90000 flow-through filter are easy to handle and clean. They are components of the fine filtration system in the BioTec filter: Mechanical fine filtration and biological filtration under aerobic (oxygen-rich) conditions allow bacteria in the red zone to break down or oxidize the water to nitrate. Nitrate can then be naturally absorbed and broken down by plants. Also compatible with the previous model BioTec ScreenMatic 12. Contents: 2 filter sponges
