The blue filter sponges for the BioTec ScreenMatic² 60000/140000/145000 flow-through filters are easy to use and very easy to clean. They are components of the biological/mechanical filtration system in the BioTec filter: Coarse dirt particles are retained in the large-pored blue bio-filters. Due to oxygen enrichment, Nitrosomonas bacteria quickly form in the blue zone, converting ammonia, which is extremely harmful to fish, into nitrite. Also compatible with the predecessor model BioTec ScreenMatic 18/36. Contents: 2 filter sponges
